Illustrated Step-by-Step Oils Demo

ArtTutor.com will always be about top quality video instruction, but we're keen to give you as much material as possible to help you learn and improve as an artist. This is why, as well as on-camera teaching, we've been getting artists to produce printable step-by-step guides...

These are very much like the step-by-step guides you see in art magazines only more comprehensive (and we think more instructional).  Hannah, ArtTutor's content manager, has added a sample guide on how to paint a floral still life in oils by upcoming artist Lucy Somers.

Follow the instructions below to download the guide and then follow at your leisure!

RIGHT click on the link below (CTRL and click if you're on a Mac) and choose 'Save link as' (Firefox/Chrome)  or 'Save target as' (Internet Explorer)  or 'Download linked file' (Safari):

Look out for an e-mail on Tuesday where we'll go through exactly what ArtTutor is and how you can be a part of it, if you want to.  Spaces will be limited and we'll only be notifying people on the Priority Notification List so add yourself to that if you haven't done so already (no commitment - you're just putting your hand up and saying it's something you might be interested in).

Best Regards,

Bob and The ArtTutor Team.

  1. Looking forward to Monday. "Watercolour Secrets" was so well done - clear, comprehensive, and easy to follow. The video demos you have included so far with ArtTutor live up to that quality.

Can't wait for the whole project.

  2. Hi Bob and the team of ArtTutor, I watched "Illustrated Step - by - Step Oils Demo" and I find it really interesting to see this painting instructions. You made really an amazing job on this site to help artists improve their painting. I think that this site is going to be the most beautiful School of interactive painting that may have on the Internet. Because what you put of instructions are for me a treasure of information. Thank you for sharing of your knowledge and the quality of the videos and writings because I really appreciate it. Bob, I discovered you this 7 years ago and you became my mentor for the painting, because I learned a lot by your videos and your instructions. Thank you once again for this great work that you do for us. Lucie bye

I'm so thrilled that you, and those who are with you, offer instruction and encouragement to those of us who cannot afford fancy art classes or even purchase alot of Art Videos...your products are fairly priced and your lessons are very helpful. This low-income gal has a fantastic hobby, and I'm getting pretty good at it, thanks to you! Jacque

  4. Hello, Congratulations on a job well done!

Are there any plans for offering this program as an affiliate program? It is very informative and I feel that my students would benefit from it.

Please let me know if you do offer it as affiliate program.

    Thank you,
